Holy crap Glenn! That was sweet. I can tell you've been working hard to make this. The quality and the improvements are astounding.
The artwork was as visually stunning as it's always been. You have a knack with colors and effects. And your improving on drawing the human figure. There was only one shot where the drawing looked a little skewed, which was when Kalen's character was looking sideways. One eye was a little weird. But it was a one time thing, and in another shot where he was looking the other direction you fixed it, so I could tell you were aware of it. Other than that the artwork was very very nice.
I was amazed at the frame by frame you threw in there. It was very smooth every time you used it, even if it was just for small movements. It's obvious you put a lot of time into making the movements as smooth as possible and it shows. The walking cycle near the end was the only part that could have been smoother. The actual movement you animated was smooth, but you repeated it and there was a slight pause before the next step. I can't make those types of movements smooth either so no big deal.
I have to say my favorite fbf moment was when Kalen's character was standing and his cape was moving in the wind. That was just beautiful.
The quality of voice acting was sweet. The characters seemed very believable. You found some actors with quality equipment too. I could tell they were all different mics, but each one was clear and crisp. Great work there.
I didn't quite understand the storyline, probably due to the fact that it's been a while since I've watched the first two, but Im sure that part of your work will remedy itself soon.
Overall this movie was fantastic. Keep up the hard work because it's paying off. This should be front paged for sure.
Sorry for being so nitpicky, but your work is so high quality that there are only little things to fix, and if you fixed those your movies would be even more amazing than they already are.
Keep up the kickass work Glenn.

Dirtshake, thanks bro, VERY thorough review =) I understand that the story seems alittle foggy right now, but tha'ts what I'm going for. I'm unraveling it at a steady pace, so the next episode will be something to behold. I've already got it planned out and everything and will start on it soon.
Once again thanks for checkin this out man I appreciate it!

That was a fantastic piece of work. Great job.
The artwork was great. Everything looked great. The animation however, was the part that shined. I loved how great the fbf was. Every motion was smooth and connected and was just great to look at. The tweening used was great too. It was used appropriatly and worked with the fbf instead of replacing it. The effects used for the fire and such were beautiful too.
My only complaint was with the audio. Im not sure if it was the mic you were using or if the effects you added to the voices hurt the quality, but it really took away from everything else that was so great about your movie. But that is my only complaint. Everything else was top notch.
Keep up the great work. Just fix your audio problems and then you'll have some really kick ass stuff. Awsome job!!!
Author's Response:
Yep, knew the audio was a problem. Tons of folks have said so. Not going to fix it but I understand your complaint. Thanks for the crit dirtshake man!

Your drawings are great, but your animation needs a lot of work.
For one there was barely anthing moving. A few tweens in the beginning and the end but for most of the movie the characters didn't move at all. It made it boring to watch from a visual standpoint.
Your audio needs work too. The music was way louder thant he dialougue so I couldn't even tell if the voice acting was great or simply good. I think it was good, but the loud music took away from your character's conversations.
Overall these are some simple things to fix. I know this movie wasn't supposed to be visually fantastic, but there is no excuse for the audio quality. Work on these aspects and your next projects will be great. You'll actually be able to show off your drawings more when they start moving.
Good luck in the future.
Author's Response:
Thanks for the review, I know they didn't really move, that's pretty much because of the time limit I had in class for the animation. But I recently turned the music down on the animation for make the voices easier to hear.

The engine you have is great, but overall this game needs a lot more polish before it is truly finished.
The engine works and the jumping feels alright. The music was great and the menu style was really creative. Points for those.
However the little things is what made this game bad. The health status and score numbers are cut off and don't show up fully, making the health status very hard to notice. A bar of some sorts would have been better for the player to realize how long he had until he died.
The platforms in the middle of the level were not a good choice either. If you jumped while below a platform you would be shot down immediately into a ball and lose health. It made that part of the game very hard. A challenge is by no means a bad thing, but it seemed brutal.
Overall your engine works great, but put a little more polish on it before you submit another game.
Good luck with future projects.

Thanks for reporting the bugs, it all worked fine on my end.
Got the cut off text fixed :)

Great idea for a movie, though not entirely original. I've heard the concept before, but the execution was brilliant.
The art was great. Very colorful without a lot of outlines. It was very easy on the eyes and stylish as well. The animation wasn't too shabby either.
The attacks is what made this movie for me. The different, and very nerdy, attack moves were just fun to watch because they were so corny. Creative attacks too. I laughed hard when bio dude sent out his HIV virus attack.
Other than that the only thing you could work on is your humor. Even though it was a very small part of this movie the humor that you tried to do came off a little dry. Im speaking specifically of the desert joke. But it's so small for this movie it's not even that big of a deal. Just had to mention it.
So overall a very nice movie. Keep up the good work.

This movie was pretty good despite the bad English. I enjoyed it very much. You definitely have what it takes to make great movies.
Your artwork was great, it really was. The style, coloring, and shading looked great. Every shot was detailed a bit and it was overall very pretty to look at.
However this took away from the animation quality. All you did was tween stuff. Though it didn't look bad because of the great artwork, some simple frame by frame animation could have made this movie even better to watch. Practice that and you'll be on your way to making some really good stuff.
Overall this was a great movie. Keep up the great work.
Author's Response:
Well, at next time I shall try not too often to use Tweens ;-) ! How I did it in my "Morine vs Monstre" movie.

You have a great start for someone who's new to flash.
Your animation was pretty good. Surprisingly you were better at frame by frame than tweening so I would say keep up the fbf. Your fbf was pretty smooth and looked convincing. YOur tweens however, especially when the main character was conducting, were not too good. Work more on drawing the parts of the arm in a way to look convincing instead of just using ovals or something. I would say keep up the fbf.
Another thing that stood out was how the background image or colors or whatever would not cover the whole stage in flash. There was some white areas off to the sides which took away from the flash as a whole. It is easy to fix this, only a matter of making sure the background image covers the whole stage. If your going to move the background during the animation it's best to make a large image that covers way more than the stage. PM me if you need some help with this.
Overall it was a good movie though. Keep up the practice and you'll make some quality flashes here.
Author's Response:

I have a feeling this is traced. It's TOOO much like the original scene to be drawn from memory.
Though if it is drawn, I apologize.
I still blammed it however, because it's incomplete. Finish it or post it on your own site. What you have is good if it's not traced...though for some reason I really feel it is, and I usually trust people...
Author's Response:
of course it's not drawn from memory, he is a professional graphical artist and just wanted to show off to me how better he is at everything, he obviously had the picture drawn on paper, scanned in, then traced his own work via storyboards basics of all animation.

You have a lot going for you but you also have a lot to improve on.
Story aside, since I hate anything associated with High School Musical, the animation wasn't bad. It was mainly tweens, but you know how to tween and make it look good. The fight scene in particular was good.
The gripe I have with tweening though is that it's too simple. You had a lot of great tweens, but what would have made it cooler is if you put some frame by frame in your movie. It takes longer, but you can make much better stuff. Overall there is more freedom with it.
Something you need to work on big time is pacing. Throughout the movie, save for the fight, there were many unnecisary and long awkward pauses where a character would make a very long facial expression or just stare into the abyss. The audio looping made this even more noticable and made those parts feel extra long.
Aside from these things, this was a good movie. Work on pacing and some frame by frame and your next movie will be better than this.
Good job and good luck.

There is some FBF in this, but I try to avoid using it because I have a mouse.
