".Hyenas don't appear in Africa's fossil record until 14 million years ago, leading Hyenas to be used in Western African folk tales to represent unwanted urbanization of indigenous African cultures by foreign invaders on the ivory coast." - - - - - wut

Very informative. I actually learned something. Sucks for those female Hyenas though. In all seriousness though, since I can't really rate the art and animation on this thing, I'll comment on the narration, which was funny as hell. It had that nice mix of information with fast paced humor thrown in and strange, but funny, transitions. I literally laughed out loud when the above social commentary was thrown in randomly, followed by, "fuck this cat shit".

JazLyte responds:

Yeah, it was for class on an extremely harsh time budget, so the animation's HIGHLY economy lol there's no hiding that. I had to make a quick presentation on the evolutionary history of my favorite animal using my major, thought I'd leave it here and see what happens. Glad you enjoyed it my brutha :3

Man that was twisted. Twisted as fuck. Remind me to never to buy street art from a perverted goat-man hybrid creature with spikes growing out of his eyes (nostrils ok!) regardless of how well they're animated.

What's more twisted though...is that this fucker is still under judgement after 14 fucking hours. I'm voting again to get this passed.

JazLyte responds:

Mehhhttt <3 Twisted is a word I've been getting alot lately, cool with that :3 Yeah, NG's pretty different now. They've completely isolated the ones under judgment from the other movies, so it's a much more savage, rigorous process to get your flicks in. Probably the point, but hell, I'm just along for the rriiiiide baaaabeh regardless.

OMG OMG, OH MY FUCKING GOD

I should not have been laughing at this, but I did anyways. XD

Animation-wise it was great! The fight scene was...well...short but sweet. The impact of the wrench actually felt real with the combination of animation, vcam, and great sound effects.
The humor was funny too. Just the fact that it had you voicing over the character with some weird ass shit going on was enough to get a few laughs, especially when the damn baby came on screen.

Good shit!

JazLyte responds:

Thanks broham. You know you wanted to laugh B)

This is a pretty fun game and it is very well designed. It gets addicting very quickly trying to make the best games and train the best staff, but the game quickly becomes too laggy to continue. By the time I made it to the third city the game was nearly unplayable with a 13-14 person staff. Its a shame too, because I never got to make a medium sized game.

The game ran fairly fine with the quality set on low, but every month it reset back to high, and it was honestly too annoying to keep changing it back.

Hard as shit

But fun too! You definitely captured the style of an old-school arcade shooter, one that kicks your ass without mercy. The gameplay got a little too hectic at times, especially with some of the asteroids blending into the background, but it was still fun. At no point in time did I ever think of quitting because of the difficulty, though I did swear a lot.

The controls are good and the music is on point. The artwork is great too (reminds me of your old animation style where everything was very straight and lined with glow filters up the ass) and it was a great game to play. Good work. Make more shit.

JazLyte responds:

Haha, thanks buddeh. Hopefully I will be soon.

You could teach a class with these

This tutorial is amazing! Thank you so much for creating this. You included so many different elements that the title is almost misleading. When I opened it I thought this would be a simple tutorial on how to create lineart. Then I got to the page with various resources for drawing poses. I spent a good ten minutes on that site before I realized I was trying to watch a tutorial.

You section on perspectives, especially two and three point perspectives, was amazing and very VERY helpful.

The actual lineart portion of the tutorial was very informative. Just like your coloring tutorial, I could follow this step-by-step and create a great looking picture as well as help my drawing abilities.

I mean this honestly, if you made a tutorial on drawing techniques and combined it with this tutorial and your coloring tutorial, you could teach a class.

Thank you for making such an amazing tutorial! You really inspired me to improve my artwork and animations. Thanks again and good luck with anything you do in the future.

Do be honest, I have no idea how to review Ambient music since I rarely listen to it, but this...was amazing! It was very relaxing. Now, I didn't listen to it in the "right" mood (cheap iPod headphones, lights on, eyes open until the end) but I still found it very relaxing and wonderful to listen to. This is going straight on my iPod for when I have trouble sleeping, want to relax after a stressful day or hard workout, or whenever.

I liked the breathing at the end too. Somehow I was already in syn with the old man dying before he even started to breathe. Very well done.

I can't wait to hear your album!

FatKidWitAJetPak responds:

Thanks man! The album will be out soon, and will have abour 12 tracks, fresh album art, some some extras and junk for ten bucks :P

The expressions on your characters are...as always...hilarious. Especially the black guy with the afro just starring at her ass like, "Man fuck this slave-whipping bitch..but GODDAMN THAT ASS!!!"

The lighting on this piece is also gravy. It creates a nice contrast. A beautiful sunny day in the southern plantation fields in the background but some twisted shit as the focus.

However there is a distinctive lack of butter in this piece....

JazLyte responds:

Why thank you suh. You will get NO MORE BUTTER. Also, every comment I've ever gotten on this piece involves butter.

Congrats on Front Page!!!

Love it man! This thing kicks ass! And ha, I'm like you. I get my best work done at night too, though I could never produce something awesome like this in one night. And I should probably stop staying up all night to do school work but I digress.

I love the contrast between the characters and the background. I can't tell if you drew those bricks in Photoshop (or a vector program) or if its a stock photo that you have that you doctored up with some good filters, lighting changes, and the graffiti. Either way it looks great and isn't distracting, though the graffiti is fun to look at regardless.

Speaking of the graffiti I LOVE whatever brush settings you used for the chalk. It really gives it a rich organic feel that further brings the characters to life, and also adds to the contrast between the backgrounds and the characters. The background has an organic feeling to it, very realistic, while the characters (obviously well drawn) have a great cartoon feeling to them (for obvious fucking reasons).

As always I love your color choices and shading work. Brilliant as always. The subtle details add some life to the picture as well, such as the freckles, restrained lighting on the gun (very nice) amongst others. Oh, and your light sources are great.

I'm not sure if I like the glow or not that Jazz (I assume its Jazz) is...holding? I see you experimented with a different style of creating magic looking effects, and I think it works for the picture (at least it doesn't NOT work) but I feel like something is missing from it that will make it perfect. Don't ask me what it is...just a feeling.

Other than that though, a perfect 10/10 and 5/5.

JazLyte responds:

i has responded to this shit on DA.
